Junk Journals are a special place to create, experiment and record your magical journey through life and special events. The original concept of a junk journal was to use scraps, found items and basically junk to create a beautiful handmade journal instead of buying expensive supplies or mass made journals. The idea grew and branched off into new versions of junk journals that are sometimes referred to treasure journals, holding antique papers and prints from the 1800's and even prior, as well as other special treasures that people at to their books. The ideas for handmade journals are endless.
When starting out, it can be a overwhelming to figure out what types of junk or treasure items to hold on to for a journal. I have started my own list of the items that I use and I plan to keep this list growing as much as I can. I am not listing the obvious supplies like glue, tape, pens, etc but rather i'm listing the items that are some people's junk but as a junk journal lover, these items turn into my treasures!
You can help me grow the list by adding any new ideas in the comments. Can we hit over 100 ideas?
