Often, getting started is the hardest part of moving forward in life. We have thoughts and ideas about how our perfect scenario should go and sometimes, those same thoughts can keep us spinning our wheels before we leave the starting line.

For decades, it's been said that to be a successful artist, the artist must work on one skill or one talent so they can be recognized for that one style. That has haunted me for many years, as I love to engage in multiple different arts and I love them equally. I have never been disciplined enough to stick to just one type of art medium. This has left me hesitant to share my art with others as I never felt successful in it. Rather, I'm a scattered artist that jumps from one type of art to another quite often. I love to experiment with ideas, mediums and techniques even more than I love the final product. Today, after many years of internal debate, I have accepted my true nature and wildly ways. I am no longer concerned with meeting the criteria of others when creating and sharing my art. I no longer feel a need to be successful either. My entire goal as a Mud Doll is to live life to the fullest, enjoy each day and create for my own soul's happiness. To me, that is a successful artist!

I hope you enjoy my adventure in sharing my art, ideas and thoughts openly and unconstrained. I hope this will inspire others to share and to be uniquely themselves as well.
